In 2014, I was re-elected with 68% of the vote and am currently serving my second term as a State Representative in the 127th Maine Legislature, representing residents of West & North Augusta. I serve on the Joint Standing Committee on Education & Cultural Affairs and previously was on the Apportionment Commission. In addition to this, I also am a Realtor with RE/MAX Riverside in Topsham. In 2015, I closed over $8M in sales, and ranked #4 in sales for RE/MAX agents in New England for November of 2015.
In January of 2016, the National Institute of Civil Discourse (NICD), selected me to help expand its mission to return civility, rationality and respect to American politics by naming me the co-chair for NICD’s National Network of State Legislators Committed to Civil Governance – which practices, models & expands civil governance as a means of strengthening American democracy.
I serve as a member of the Board for Junior Achievement of Maine. JA is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students in grades K-12 about entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. I am also board member of the Augusta Housing Service Corps – currently working on projects in Augusta, including the renovation of the former Hodgkins Middle School into 53 affordable housing units. Previously, I served on the Board of Directors for the Augusta Downtown Alliance, the Kennebec Valley Board of Realtors, the Rotary Club of Augusta, Augusta Planning Board and the allocations committee for the United Way.
When not working I enjoy traveling. I’ve visited 5 continents with the goal of visiting all 7 within the next two years. I also love to fly & am currently working on my private pilot license.
