Personal Information
Patty Sample is a Maine native who grew up in the Boothbay Area and has lived in historic Bath for twenty years. She has been a REALTOR for over three years and specializes in historic homes in the MidCoast Region, waterfront properties, and affordable homes. Patty's strengths as a REALTOR include her knowledge of the MidCoast area and her ability to search for properties that meet her clients' needs. She also has numerous local contacts and has a tremendous inventory of resources available to people in the region. Her streamlined system from the initial search to the closing day makes home buying comfortable and understandable to everyone. She has consistently been a top producer in the local marketplace.
Patty is a University of Maine graduate who has been a public school teacher, a grant writer, and Executive Director of several non-profit agencies. She ran a small family business in the performing arts field for over ten years. In addition to her work, Patty has three abiding interests: architecture, animals, and the arts. Active as a volunteer in all three areas, she is vice president of Sagadahoc Preservation Inc. (SPI), a local group dedicated to preserving the county's architectural gems. She also chairs the Winter Street Oversight Committee within SPI; this Committee is responsible for the restoration of an outstanding gothic revival church owned by SPI. Additionally Patty owns and has restored a Victorian Italianate house in the heart of Bath's historic district.
Fifteen years ago, Patty founded A Paw In The Door, a local nonprofit dedicated to ending feline homelessness one cat at a time. The organization is all volunteer run and provides services to more than 300 cats annually.
